Rocky Mountain National Park

Rocky Mountain National Park was established in 1915, making it our 9th American National Park. This is the first place I had ever experienced true high alpine environments when visiting, and later moving to Colorado. The park covers over 250,000 acres and is compromised of several different ecological zones, making it home to a wide variety of flora & fauna. I have had full on religious experiences in this park, and I’m making a point to photograph as many of the ~150 alpine lakes within its boundaries as I possibly can. I have visited the glacier gorge region of the park the most, and that is certainly reflected in this gallery.

Panoramas

This collection of panoramas consists of photographs that are made from anywhere between 3 and 40 stitched still images. Creating these has brought me some of the most satisfaction in my work. These images are rich in detail, most of them needing to be majorly reduced in file size to show on this site. In print, any of these images would look excellent in a large format!

Scenic Routes

If at all feasible, I will take the scenic route 100% of the time, no questions asked. I put over 20k miles on my last vehicle trying to avoid the interstates and see as many unique corners of this state as possible. Colorado has an unimaginably vast network of old mining, logging, forest access rds, and mountain passes. I want to ride them all before I die. So you tell me, where are we headed?
